Recently, I read some self-media articles touting how powerful industrial manufacturing in Western countries is, in contrast, our industrial system has no other advantages except for being large. Humility is a traditional virtue of the Chinese nation and is worth inheriting, but we must also recognize the fact that the gap with Western countries is in some high-end fields, rather than blindly kneeling and licking. You might as well take a closer look at how many of the industrial systems of each country can produce and develop by themselves, and you may understand why we have vigorously developed a comprehensive industrial system over the years.
The international industrial system divided by the United Nations is divided into 39 categories, 191 medium categories, and 525 subcategories, with China having almost 525 subcategories of production and R&D capacity, the United States having more than 90%, and Europe, Japan, and South Korea having more than 80%. Of course, we dont need to be complacent because of a comprehensive industrial classification system, and a resource-rich scientific and technological power like the United States is not impossible to have, but not wanted.
As the largest developing country, it only picked high-end industries for development from the beginning, and disdained basic industries. Without a strong basic industry, what strength does it have to do high-end manufacturing industry? We are all prone to making a mistake, we like to look at the world from our own perspective, thinking that the world is what we see. When evaluating a thing, many times it is just from the perspective of ones own past experience, without objective data support, let alone field investigation, which is also very easy to understand why our great man emphasizes that "without investigation, there is no right to publish".
We are honored to be born in a country with modern industry, but unfortunately, many countries in this world do not take it for granted that they are at the same level as our industry. The fact is that except for developed countries such as Europe, the United States, Japan, South Korea and China, most countries in the world have not yet completed modern industrialization, and there are more than 10 countries that have completed industrialization and have strong competitiveness combined, but there are nearly 200 countries in the world. It is not easy to complete industrialization, China is lucky, it has taken decades to complete the modern industrial road that Western developed countries have only completed for hundreds of years, how many countries are still working hard to complete industrialization?
Lets talk about Industry 4.0, the concept of Industry 4.0 appeared in Germany, officially launched at the 2013 Hannover Messe, its core purpose is to improve the competitiveness of German industry and take the lead in the new round of industrial revolution. For a while, the topic of Industry 4.0 was once blown up in China, and it was not too hot, but in fact, the Germans were not enthusiastic about this concept. Some scholars who went to Germany for exchange and study returned to China and said that contrary to China, Industry 4.0 is not very popular, and many local practitioners in Germany do not even know what Industry 4.0 is.
